Action Areas

Boost environmental, energy, and social sustainability as a cross-cutting feature in housing and urban planning while promoting conservation of national parks as a competitiveness advantage and a brand of quality of life locally and world-wide...

Sustainable Housing

48% of gases produced by the greenhouse effect are produced by homes and buildings. Sustainable Housing involves a debate around energy, incorporation of housing with landscape, and a sustainable supply chain for the development sector. Triple Salto seeks to:

  • Initiate a debate that leads eventually to the implementation of public policies for Sustainable Housing.
  • Consolidate construction sustainable materials in a supply chain.
  • Finally, provide technical assistance to the public and private sectors to achieve this goal.

Urban Regeneration

Is a dynamic process that integrates history, environment, landscape, architecture, economy, and security of a place and its inhabitants to recreate a space for the wellbeing. The goal is to take advantage of urban regeneration as an opportunity to create public spaces and sustainable housing to see the city through the eyes of innovation, urban agriculture, its own history, and diversity.

National Parks

Ecuador is one of the 17 most megadiverse nations in the planet.
“Just as the G-7 countries concentrate a major portion of the world’s economic wealth, the 17 Megadiversity Countries have within their borders more than two thirds of our planet’s biological wealth, its biodiversity”
Dr. Russell A. Mittermeier
Conservation International President

The megadiverse countries are a group of 17 countries that harbor the majority of the Earth’s species. The World Conservation Monitoring Centre, an agency of the United Nations Environment Programme approaches at biodiversity priorities by political units, sovereign nations, rather than by ecosystems. Madagascar, Philippines, and Ecuador pack high diversity into relatively small land areas. Megadiversity therefore, becomes a key long-term economic asset for these countries and a shared global responsability.
